Fighting With My Family still is an true 2019 favorite of mine and gets better with every watch

i never expected to enjoy Fighting With My Family as much as i did considering i am not the biggest or not even an wrestling fan especially with the WWE but this film surprised me a lot cause of that, sure it has an couple of faults to it and it is predictable but hey what Sports movie isnt predictable, with Sports movies it all matters on the characters, the acting, the story they are telling and the emotions the film made me feel and it succeeds on those fronts, it tells the story of Sayara Paige Knight who is the youngest wrestling Divas champion and idk whether all that is told is fact or fiction but it's an inspiring story all the same, Florence Pugh is fantastic with delivering the emotion and determination needed for this person and i love how they don't just make her an perfect hero/character that'll change everyone like that, they even make her a bit unlikeable but unlikeable in an understanding way, 2019 was the year for Florence Pugh with this, Midsommar and Little Women (which she got an nomination for) but of all those performance, this was is easily my favorite, the film also does greatly on the actual family aspect, the brother character is well-developed and interestingly real and i loved his relationship with Paige, i'm a sucker for awesome and sweet brother/sister relationships and they are easily one of those best relationships i've seen in quite some time, even the parents are great and fun, this is one film that will make you love and appreciate your family sooo much more, the actual wrestling sequences are great and fun as well, the real dynamics and relationships are what elevates and shines this film sooo much more than most Sports films, this was my #2 most surprising film of 2019 (behind Toy Story 4) and on this most recent rewatch i loved and appreciated it soo much more, i even became emotional at the final wrestling scene, this isnt high up on my best of 2019 list and im not 100 (A+) on it as i originally was but this is an sports film i will be remembering for years to come :)
