The Spongebob Movie: Sponge On The Run is very disappointing

i was able to see the third released Spongebob Movie Sponge On The Run and while i still had some fun with the film, it's easily the weakest of the three theatrically released films, it still retains a lot of the heart and charm of what you know and expect from Spongebob, the CG animation is perfect and vibrantally detailed and beautiful, the voice acting is top-tier as always, Keanu Reeves steals the show as an tumbleweed and there are some fun, laugh out loud moments and the usual fun interactions you expect from these characters

but the story isn't compelling at all and never tries to do some things different (blatant rehashes of previous stories but never tries to do some things different with the rehashing) some of the humor just falls completely flat, the pacing is very all over the place and everything involving Kamp Koral seriously brings the movie down, again still decent and fun but disappointing compared to the previous great spongebob movies :)
