OMG i remember always dreading this movie, thinking this movie was gonna be rushed as hell, annoying and lacking anything but somehow Birds Of Prey managed to prove me wrong and deliver an movie that's basically if you combine the fourth wall breaks and craziness of Deadpool, the stylish and awesome action of John Wick (one of the director of John Wick even did the stuntwork for this film) and some sprinkles of Tarantino (with the non-linear storytelling) then you get an film that although it doesn't reinvent the wheel in terms of storytelling, it feels like it's own thing and delivers an highly octane and entertaining film filled with excellent performances from everyone involved (especially from Margot Robbie & Ewan McGregor), actually well-developed characters (developed enough at least), an very well-paced film, some of the best action sequences i've seen in any DC film since The Dark Knight Trilogy. great character interactions, top-notch crazy humor that made me laugh my ass off, lots of respect of these beloved characters and an film that while it has so much heart and even a bit of emotion added into it knows exactly what it is and makes one of the most different DC films in a long time, oh and in someways this film does deserve the R Rating (dought not as much as the animated Harley Quinn series which you all should watch)
my only faults with the film is that i wasn't the biggest on Cassandra Cain (maybe on an rewatch that'll change) i just wished she had a bit more personality and i was a bit letdown with how miminal Huntress was in the film
but Birds Of Prey with that long ass title (or Harley Quinn: Birds Of Prey) is one of the most fun films i've seen in an long time, i can see why some people might not like this but if you just wanna have an fun time in the theaters, then (considering it's box office performance at the moment) go see this film if you can, way way wayyyyyy better than i ever expected it to be and it's basically what Suicide Squad should have been
Rating/Grade: 98 (A)
