Film #1 of 21 in my Studio Ghibli marathon

Studio Ghibli has been an animation studio i been wanting to watch for the longest time, there are only an few i have seen but even those i havent seen in years but in general i hardly watched any of their film but that changes today where i am watching their films for the first time starting with Castle In The Sky and what an great start to the marathon as this was incredible and holds up very well especially in terms of its animation, i heard all their films hold up amazingly but man this one just hits the nail in terms of that

for also being 2 hours long, Castle In The Sky is one of the most well-paced films i've seen in an while, like it kinda blew up (in an good way obviously)

the world building here is some of the most fascinating ever put in any film as they built up this incredible world and depsite everything, it feels like one i love to live in

the storytelling is kinda simple but highly engaging, i was invested and glued in from scene 1

the characters are also incredible, Pazu and Sheeta are incredible and relatable main leads, the supporting cast itself is also great and wonderful, Muska is an antagonist with a strong motivation for his actions whilst Dola, the leader and mother to her gang of dimwitted pirates, is an absolute joy and manages to remain morally ambiguous

the music itself is beautiful and awesome, the writing is great, the emotions very much hit very well,i felt a lot of different emotion throughout the runtime, i was literally invested from beginning to end and if this is what to expect from the studio, then i cannot wait to watch their 20 other films

Rating/Grade: 100 (A+)
